Coby Digital Photo Frames

Added details on Coby digital photo frames and Parrott digital picture frames to another site I run which has details on digital photo frames. I have found them a great way to view my digital photos which otherwise just get stuck on your computer. But it is hard to find information on them so you can look at www.digitalphoto-frames.co.uk for information about these and other manufacturers of digital frames such as Philips, Kodak and Cibox.

Slannesh Warhammer Army

As mentioned before have built up quite a few Games Workshop armies over the years, and one that I have for Warhammer is the that of the Slannesh Chaos Champion Valsav of the Hrud. Yet again since it has been built up over time it has a number of old models in it as well as some of the newer ones. So for example the Chaos Lord incarnation of Vaslav is the latest Chaos Slannesh hero, but the Demon Prince alternative uses the original Keeper of Secrets. I also have some of the first Chaos Warriors from the first box set in there. Below are two figures, mostly finished although the bases need more work. A Chaos Warrior and a Marauder. The Chaos Warriors are using a basic black scheme for speed of painting whilst the Marauders unifying element is the red and white shield design. Warhammer Chaos Warrior Slannesh Chaos Marauder

New Veterans

Dark Angels Veteran Squad Wow doesn't time fly when you are not aware of it. Life has been up to its usual tricks of being very painful and unpleasant at the moment so haven't had mush time for painting, or writing! Anyway I have made some progress on the new five man veteran squad, after distributing some of the kit from the sprues around the whole army I have a five man squad of veterans kitted out. Not all of these come with monk style robes, which I am assuming equate to Inner Circle or at least further on the path to the Inner Mysteries than other marines. So the first guy just has enhanced equipment with a sniper sight for his bolter and the combat shield. The second guy will probably act as the Veteran Sergeant for the squad with his power maul, bionic eye and monks robes. A little frustrated with the flash lines on the robes which are still a little visible despite much scrapping with a sharp knife. The robes are a sightly different hue to those I have done before, more

Dark Angels Tactical Marines

Dark Angels Tactical Marine 4th Company Well some of the figures so far have been a bit old so these are some of the later incarnations of space marine. Fairly standard iconography for them. All are from the 4th Company so have knee markings where these appear. Using the bolter in the standard Tarrantino fashion in the bottom figure. So accuracy is probably rubish. I use black for suit intersections and hoses, red for weapons and often a blue/grey for Dark Angels insignia. Pipes and conduits are in yellow to stand out. Dark Angels 40k tactical marine bolter and bolt pistol Since its been about 30 years of collecting Citadel miniatures, my brother and I have armies from most of the Warhammer range. He got rid of his 40k stuff some time ago, but I have Dark Angels, Imperial Guard, Chaos and Eldar. Warhammer armies are Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Empire, Skaven, High Elves, Dogs of War, and Slannesh. My brother has Dwarves, Orcs, Beastmen, Nurgle, Khorne and Tzeentch. So we cover most of them

Dark Angels Devastators Space Marines

Devastator squad with missile launcher, plasma cannon, veteran sergeant with power axe, lascannon and heavy bolter. Couple of really old guys in here and some middle aged. But hey they do what they say on the tin. Two of them are from the first metal marines that came out

Ravenwing Landspeeder

The smaller metal landspeeder but a great Ravenwing model. The good thing about 40k is that you can justify it as coming from an earlier time and is a relic passed on, rather than always having to get the latest incarnation from Games Workshop. I do have one of the newer ones, and have reworked that with some Forge World icons and bits from the new sprues. Dark Angels Ravenwing Landspeeder

Deathwing Terminators

A couple of Deathwing Terminators for you, standard issue Storm Bolter and Thunder Hammer and Shield. They are on normal size bases, might change them to the large ones but they do take up less room on the battlefield melee and in the army carry case. have loved the Deathwing story, icongraphy and colour scheme ever since saw them in Space Hulk when it came out first time. Dark Angels Deathwing Terminators

Dark Angels Chaplain and Standard Bearer

Another couple of classic miniatures, you can't beat Asmodai as a Chaplain Interogator Chaplain Asmodai Standard Bearer for the Company, based on Brother Bethor

Old Apothecary

I do have one of the new style ones that I need to paint up, but this is an original guy. Still have the White Dwarf article somewhere where they were introduced along with Imperial Guard Medics (have to finish and photograph that army at some point as well). The only Dark Angels iconography is in the painted pin shoulder pad. Uses a blue white rather than just using whites and greys. Dark Angels Apothecary

Dark Angels Running Combat Squad

On looking through the various squads after sprinkling pieces from the new Dark Angels Veterans through them, I noticed that I had a number of running poses. Have to put these in squad 2, and move a veteran sergeant back to squad 1. Putting these with the new Squad 2 sergeant who was also running this would give me a combat squad of models advancing at pace. I'll do them as squad 2 figures so I will need to do a bit a repaint job on some for shoulder pad markings and fill in the gaps back in squad 1.

Master of the 4th Company

The iconography for the Dark Angels is based on the 4th Company. I have used the classic Dark Angels Captain as the basis for the 4th Company Commander Sheol. Carries back pack banner with cloak which is based on the same hue as the Battle Robes. Master of the 4th Company Dark Angels

Dark Angels Space Marines Tactical Squad

Well this squad was more or less finished but with the new Dark Angels Veterans squad I have put a new squad leader in with flowing robes. There are two of the original Rogue Trooper Marines in here. One has the oldest style of missile launcher which I have decided to keep, the other has a new issue bolter. Both of them have new style shoulder pads to replace the old pin dot style. There are also a couple of guys with old style armour but in metal. I do like the muzzle snout on the one. Beaky space marine with new pads, bolter and back pack.

Dark Angels Techpriest

This hopefully will be a series of shots for various warhammer and warhammer 40k armies. Some of these models are pretty old now, and for example with the Dark Angels have gone through a number of clean ups and repaints. There are some models here from the dawn of the 40k world. But lets start off with a goody. Techpriest, with Dark Angels iconography. This army was started before static grass, so the base looks a bit clunky. Dark Angels Tech Priest 40K
